These pictures were made during a photographic workshop at the Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont in April, 2005. The photo workshop was fantastic and many thanks are due to the instructors Bill Lea and David Duhl, as well as Ron Zimmerman.
These pictures were made from the first overlook at the Foothills Parkway from the Hwy 321 entrance at sunrise on Saturday, April 15, 2005.
On the left is a picture of Lynn Camp Prong made from the footbridge at the end of the road. The picture on the right was made a little further up the trail looking downstream near sunset.
On the left is a picture made along the Little River in the Great Smoky Mountains. It was made just after the sunrise photos on the Foothills Parkway above, while the morning litght was still "right." The picture of the small waterfall on the right was made just across the street from the overlook on the Foothills Parkway.
These pictures were made at sunset on Saturday, April 15, 2005 from Sparks Lane in Cades Cove, TN.
In all pictures above,
the camera used was a Canon Digital Rebel with a 28-105 mm ES lens and a circular
polarizer filter. The images were all shot in RAW mode and then converted to
JPEG and resized to fit on the web.
